Place des Vosges

Honestly...the most beautiful, artistic, inspirational, parisian square in Paris! Here lived the famous Victor Hugo, although I don't think he was inspired to write Les Miserables in this area, as it is one of the richest and chicest places right now in Paris. What really gets me going is the perfect symmetry and the numerous lines of perfectly shaped trees. I could stay here, with a cup of coffee, some chocolate and a book all day long... just saying.

Spring Colors

And even though winter has come here in Greece in the most aggressive way, colorful clothes, images of sunny days and smells of juicy fruits can't stop coming to mind whenever I look at a S/S preview. Right now I am covered under a warm duvet, feeling too cold to even make a move. So, all I can do for now is take a few notes about the colors I'll wear this spring/summer!

Le French Pug

I've been in love with Comptoir des Cotonniers for two years now, but never got the chance to buy anything since first I can't find the brand where I live and secondly I hadn't tried to shop online because I wanted to see how the clothes sizes are. Finally, in my last trip to Paris this January, I purchased the most adorable little jumper with a french pug at the back of it! I fell in love with it the moment I set eyes on it. Love at first sight...

La Bonne Maman

I've always loved "Bonne Maman" marmalades in every taste, color and texture I could find. Always adored the little red striped lid and the sound it made when it opened for the first time. Then, I discoved all the extra goodies "Bonne Maman" made and was overwhelmed with joy and...hunger.
Picked this packet of 22 chocolate cookies with extra chocolate chips from a market next to me in Paris. And I swear. They are the most delicious cookies I've ever tasted and SMELLED! They smell of real, fresh butter!!! Guaranteed! (Also the package is very cute and vintage)

Je m'appelle Maria

Bonjour! This is my first post and I would like to explain to you, dear reader of my blog, what the purspose of this blog is and why I chose the title.

About la Petite Grecque
Well, I am a 22 year old girl, who has always been passionate about beautiful things, little pleasures in life, fashion, cinema, food, but most of all...travel! I am known among friends for my little trips now and then, my almost know-everything-around-cinema attitude and my love for a little place called...Paris. As a person I am quite shy and reserved, but as the dear Stephen Hawking once said "Quiet people have the loudest minds!" I feel that it is time to have my creativity and passion for life shown to others. Right now I am in a state of my life where I'm not sure I've chosen the right path (professionally). But I stay positive and always a dreamer. I know that life is not a dream, but isn't that just "too damn shame"? I want to dream in life and be optimistic, rather that straight realistic.

So, why French? Why Paris?
Where do I begin? French culture has nothing to do with macarons and croissants. The French are lovers of love, life and pleasure. From my recent trip in Paris (again!) I realised for the millionth time that these people know how to balance work, fun time and culture all together. They read a lot of books, they eat good (but not too much) and they speak...a lot!
Do I want to move there one day? Hell yeah!
